old application reports "The VI is not executable. The full development version of LabVIEW is required to fix the errors"

Something to do with MS Silverlight?

Is there any addon Toolkits used in the application development?

What kind of application is that basically (What it does)?

No Toolkits used.

And no additional installers.

The application is a simple tool used to keep track on how we use hour time on different development projects.

So it is not a "normal" LabVIEW program: No external I/O boards etc. is used. It is only a user interface.

So how do you save the time?

Database ? Excel ? File ?

Everything is saved in plain text/csv files.

Hmmm, I have asolutely no idea 🙂

I use Silverlight controls in the application, but I have no idea if this could be a problem.

The other user, using my application has also installed Visio recently, but they have not seen this problem.

If it is Viso directly causing this problem is not for sure. But it happened just after installing it, and he is quite sure he did not do any other installations or updates.

First thing to try is removing Visio.

But to continue the speculations for fun...

Are any TCP/IP functions used that require a port that Visio may have stepped on?

Yes he should try to remove Visio again. If it cleans up everything is not sure, be we will see what happens.

No TCP/IP used.

(posting by phone, might have missed some answers)

Do all computers run the same Windows version?

Have you reinstalled/repaired the run time

engine? The application?

Does the app access any hardwired relative or absolute paths?

Did you check the HD for errors?

Does this computer run any unusual AV or other security software?

Does the user have the same privileges as on the working machines?

I think you mean Silver controls. Never heard of Silverlight controls. Silverlight should not be used without your knowledge (, but how knows).

Silver controls should not be a problem.

But maybe Windows did?

I was asking the question because I had an instance where I wasn't aware I needed Silverlight installed on a machine, but I had to include it in the installer as it is not a default part of Win 10. (but maybe it was NI MAX needing Silverlight and I barking up the wrong tree?)
