Hello,
I want to control stepper motor (specification : +5V, 1.2 A) using labview. Is it enough to use DAQ usb 6212 or some other driver required to interface stepper motor with labview.. Thanks in advance...

Hi n@ndy,
I have no idea why you need to send PMs when you already have posted the very same question in the forum...
Your PM:
hello sir,
Please help me in this issue.. I want to control stepper motor (specification : +5V, 1.2 A) using labview.
1. Is it enough to use only DAQ usb 6212 or some other driver required (like 8255 or some motor driver) to interface stepper motor with DAQ .
2. By giving power supply to stepper motor externally and giving only control signals through DAQ.. Will it works ?
1. Read the manual of the USB6212 and you should be able to answer that on your own. What is a "8255"? NI8255 is a image aquisition board...
2. Does the motor work with only some "control signals"? What are those "control signals" you're talking about?

8255 which i meant is intel 8255 ppi interface board..
Wat kind of interface can be used between stepper and Usb 6212?

Hi n@ndy,
did you read the datasheet of the i8255? What does it say about it's "DC drive capability"? Does it match with the requirements of your stepper?
You can use any interface you like to. You just need to be able to communicate with the driver board. Either call your preferred hardware distributor or do a quick internet search for "stepper motor controls". You will find a lot of interface boards available...
