Hello,
We(univ research lab) are looking to buy usb3 camera for NI vision assistant applications. Our budget is minimal, but the cameras from NI are costly. So, asking for recommendations:
We have powerful lenses, so we can replace the lens to suit our requirements. Therefore, a basic version of the camera with a lens mount is needed to offer a digital interface with LabVIEW and NI vision. I see cameras in the $150-175 range( check this link), but I don't know if they are compatible.
Help and suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Anand

Since the myRIO has a USB 2.0 port, I recommend that you try connecting a Logitech Web Cam, or something equivalent. Note that the myRIO is not included in the USB3 Vision Cameras and NI Real-Time Targets Compatibility table.
Several years ago, I tried connecting a USB3 camera to LabVIEW 2016. I was able to take some videos, but it was not at all simple to do, and I abandoned using LabVIEW for this Project.

I want to ask, what are you working on? How you came up with LabView's shared camera

I find it a little impolite to ask someone on the LabVIEW Forum working at a University research lab "What are you working on?". You should use the Private Message function of the Forum for that. I also don't understand what you mean by "How you came up with LabVIEW's shared camera" (I corrected the spelling of LabVIEW). If you want to know what video cameras can be interfaced with LabVIEW hardware, there are Web search engines (one fairly well-known one is called "Google") that you can use to search for yourself ...

I did not understand the intentions of the post and left it alone. It's pretty cryptic and almost like those one hit wonders trying (and failing) to post some sensical sounding post to hide spam links in.

I am really sorry for the delay in responding to the chain due to circumstances. My apologies, as I really value the time of the individuals who help and respond to the questions. Also, I was wondering who is this user -"shabir23" who literally copy pasted my question as a response in this thread and got me worried if its a spam or my account was compromised.
Based on the responses received on how myRIO usb port is compatible only with usb2.0, I have revised our approach to use the USB3.0 camera with windows labview host and use myRIO to trigger the FPGA.
Thanks all for the response and very much appreciated.

Don't worry about that verbatim copy of your post. It was almost certainly one of those spammers who copy some text somewhere to make a post or two and then hide some spam links in those legit looking posts. Sometimes they forget to add the spam link, since it is likely a bot and a bit stupid, or they may even try to build a bit of credit by posting a few times without spam link to not be those easy to spot one hit wonders who add spam links right away to their posts.
The other option I assumed at first was, that it is a homework assignment and two people from the same class copied their assignment text on here. 😁 Happens sometimes too! And it's not a great way to earn some goodwill on here. 😉
