voltage temperature calibration

You can do a home calibration for your temperature sensor.

Get some clean water (ask in a ph*rmacy (very clean but expensive) or drug store(cheaper))

0°C smashed ice with water , stirred ..(a clean spoon is fine 🙂 )  since the water is clean, you can insert the sensor.

second point is tricky... a clinical thermometer (from a ph*rmacy) doesn't cost much, but is very precise around 37°C .  That is a good reference. If you heat the water (isolated cup is a good idea) to about 37°C , stirr the water and put both sensors into the cup , you have a second calibration point.

You can add more points if you compare your voltage readings with another (room) thermometer..

thermal coupling of both devices is recommended (air is no good coupling media)

and check if all you voltage vs temperature points match a line ...

EDIT: replace * with an a 😉  I wasn't allowed to post that word!  Hey litium that is anoying!

After that am I supposed to put the formula in a formula node?

Thanks for your help, he only gave us a few days to handle so much new things, I'll just have to do the home calibration and hope it forms a linear line too..

Hi bug,

You're not "supposed to use a formula node": there are a lot of math functions in the general numerics palette as well in the math functions palette…

When this is students homework then you should have heard about all this before and only need to apply things you already learned…
