windows XP compatibility

I am using LabVIEW 7.2, NI-DAQ, NI Motion, PCI7342 and PCI6013 under windows 2000. I am wondering if software and hardware could work if I switch my OS from windows 2000 to windows XP?

Thanks.

Of course it would same drivers that work with 2000 will work with XP. Never had a problem. I dont think there is anything to worry about.

Oh I have upgraded a computer that had pci6013 card no real problems with NI side of things. I didn't have a problem with any of my drivers.

Hi,

Are you using a beta version, or do you use LV7.1?

Regards,

Wiebe.

I don't think so unless you do have a beta version as Wiebe suggested. The current shipping version of LabVIEW is 7.1.

Looks like you guys got the LabVIEW version issue settled. I think what you might have meant is that you are using NI-DAQ 7.2, which would make a lot more sense.

The driver versions that you are using will be what determines whether or not your setup will work on Windows XP. The best thing to do is to go to the drivers and update page on ni.com located here, locate the drivers you are using, and determine whether or not they work in Windows XP.
