windows media player black when called

Hi, 

I'm trying to display a simple splash screen using windows media player.  

I can run a wml video no problem in the attached vi but when I try to call it, (Show front panel when called), I only see a black screen, (the video doe not show).

Does anyone know what I have done wrong?

how do you call the vi as a subvi in another or with the vi server functions. In my tests i used th vi as a subvi in another. Have you tried different videos?

Many thanks Duffy, any idea why call by reference works and not calling a subvi?

This works great...the first time.  The issue I am having is trying to run this video again.  The screen stays black.  The Active X window needs to be reloaded to a brand new reference each time. (MP4 Video)

Any thoughts?
