DDC_Create​File Unexpected Error. Why?

System Using CVI 8.5 on Windows XP.

I have this function that is not working on a production system (works on development system), the error message is not very descriptive.

DDC_CreateFile "An Unexpected Error occurred in the library."

This is the call: DDC_CreateFile (path, "", FILE_NAME, FILE_DESC, FILE_TITLE, FILE_AUTHOR, &file);

I have spent a lot of time trying to locate the root cause (not feeling so hot right now), appreciate any help.

Note: I have tried the "log.cws" sample in CVI, with same results.
