About labwindows CVI application

Hi,

    I found that there is few articles about labwindows/CVI written by  American or European .Does that mean they reraly use it? Do you have another way to achieve instrument controling and data acquisiting and processing, which also can design a interface? Which field often use this software?

Hello anyang,

the CVI Developer Newsletter can be a good starting point to find examples of usage of CVI in the world.

Given this, NI offers alternatives to CVI like Measurement Studio or LabVIEW: all of them grant the ability to control instruments, perform data acquisition with several devices and platform and develop a good user interface.

I personally prefer to use CVI since it is fast, easy to use and maintain, offers a native compiler from the very first versions and its IDE is less hungry on PC resources, but you may find yourself comfortable with other tools. I am using it to develop applications in the automotive and energy market; I currently use it both for instrument control and for data acquisition and I was able to interface devices from a large number of producers in my activity.
