CVI + NI Siganl Express Fails when Building application

I'm sorry, I was incorrect earlier.  You must login as 'anonymous' with your email address as the password.  Then you should be able to upload files, though you won't be able to read any of the files there.

Hi Mert,

I've just got the installation log. (see attached file)

Now I'm uploading the failed distribution, but it will take a while ... it's size is about 380MB!! You should look for a file named "FailedDistCVI_TLP50.zip".  ..... I'll let you know when the upload is done.

Regards,

Claudia

The install log confirms the error dialog you sent me a screenshot of.  How did you give the distribution to your users?  I wonder if the package could have been corrupted or partially copied.  I would suggest having them try another copy.  I would also have them confirm that the file TLP50R_Full/bin/p19/AFW00/AssistantFramework.msi actually exists in their distribution.  If it does not, then it would cause their problem. If you gave them a disc, burn another copy for them.

As far as your UIR loading problem, I checked your installer and confirmed that you are not installing tlp_auto7_cal.uir.  You are installing tlp_auto7_splash.uir and tlp_auto7_uir2.uir.  You may be not be including the correct UIR in your dist kit, or you may be installing it with the wrong name.

Let me know if your problems persist.

Hi Mert,

I've checked with the users, and they have found TLP50R_Full/bin/p19/AFW00/AssistantFramework.msi does exist in the Distribution. (I sent the  failed distribution burned on CDs , to avoid problems like corrupted files or partially copying)

I've built a New Distribution, and this time I've checked all *.uir and other files (*.c,*.h)were included.... and the installation was succesfull both on WinXP and Win2K. Smiley Happy

Is it  possible that the problem has been caused because I built the distribution after using MSIBlast, without restarting the computer?  (Just thinking... because when I built the succesful dist, the PC has been re-booted..)

Again... thank you for your help!

Best regards,

Claudia
