CVI installer pop-up error while launching CVI application

Hi,

I have Lab windows CVI 2010, recently I was installing CVI 7.1.1 but aborted in the middle before installation can complete. Now every time when I launch CVI 2010 the installer for CVI 7.1.1 is popping up, although I can cancel the installation pop-up and continue working with CVI 2010 still I want this installation pop-up to go as I have to click on cancel multiple times as this pop-up comes up 3-4 times before CVI 2010 can start.

Can anyone please help on this.

It is never a good option to install a product with a newer version already installed! With CVI it is possible to have multiple versions installed and running, but the procedure is always to install the old one first and proceed with the newer in order of release.

In your situation I suppose your only option to clean up the system is to unistall all CVI instances you may find in the system and perform a new installation process from scratch starting from 7.1: depending on the target system you may not be able to install it, but if it succeds you can then proceded installing 2010 and the system should work without problems.
