Hi Support,
I'm using Window CVI 9.0 and I'm trying to use
CVI together with NI VISA to develop an application in order to talk to a microchip processor: PIC18F46J50
My question is:
Thanks,
Chee

Hi Chee,
NI-VISA should support your device if it conforms to either the USB INSTR or USB RAW standard, you will have to contact the PIC18F46J50 manufacture to find out which.
You can learn more about how to get started with this type of communications from the following article.
USB Instrument Control Tutorial

Hello Scott,
Does NI has a webpage that shows a list of manufacturers that have their equipment or processors comply with the USBTMC? I thought I came across that a few months ago.
Thanks,
Chee

Hi Chee,
I have looked through our resources and it doesn't look like we maintain a list USBTMC manufactures, however devices that comply with the standard usually list this feature quite prominently on the product pages.
Thanks

Hi Joseph,
I posted both the PIC and CVI project folders at NI Forum to help others.
You can download them from the link below. Just scroll down and look for the posting at 01-09-2010 03:06 PM.
