Distribute CVI runtime engine without the installer ?

Customer wants to distribute CVI runtime engine with their application in VB.net.

They don't want 2 installer (one for VB.net, one for CVI).  They want to extract the files out of CVI installer, and included in VB installer.

Any one did this before?

For CVI 2013.

TIA.

Hi George,

What version of Visual Studio are you using?

What program are you using to create the installer?

Have you considered calling the CVI Run Time Engine installer in the other installer? The CVI RTE is free for download and can be packaged within another installer.

I use CVI and deliver CVI dll to customer.

I don't create installer.

Customer don't want installer.

They use VB.net, they create their own installer.

And they don't want to call CVI Run Time Engine installer.  That's the problem.

Yes it can be done, I have a innosetup installer script that you can use to figure out what to include in your own distribution. Send me a pm and I'll forward it on to you on Tuesday when I'm back in the office.
