Illegal board ID error for PCI-7354 replacemnet

Hi everyone,

I have a system based on LabVIEW Real Time 10.0f2 with a PCI-7354 built in 2009, running until last week.

Now the controller stops working at the initialization of the four axis. We replaced everything after the PCI-7354, axis, cables etc. It seems the PCI-card is broken.

I have a working replacement here from another system. If I swap the cards I got an error 70012 "Motion: Illegal board ID. You must use the board ID assigned to your controller in Measurement & Automation Explorer."

Is there any way to use the replacement card without rebuilding the operating system?
I don't have experience with Labview at all and it seems we don't have all the sources to rebuild the system

Best

First of all, you have posted to the LabWindows/CVI board while your problem relates to LabVIEW or better to Motion, so you should find the correct board ad post your question there: LabVIEW board, Motion Control and Motor Drives .

Having said this, and please consider that I'm not using neither LV nor Motion, from the error messag you see I suppose you can open Measurementand Automation Explorer program, find the defective device and look for a way to change the board ID that should be listed there. Sorry for not being able to address you more precisely to a solution, if any exists.

Proud to use LW/CVI from 3.1 on.
