Toolbox Assertion Errors

The system has Windows XP. I developed an activeX server to monitor TestStand flags, which are located in the system tray. This application uses the system tray to attach all monitors; in addition, there is a main system tray icon for the application. I am using CVI 7.0 as ADE. My application works correctly in Windows 2K; however, it doesn't in Windows XP. The system gives me the following message: "The error was detecting in lime 13564 of the file 'toolbox.c'." I do not know if I have to use a specific version of the toolbox.c. The error appears when we put the mouse over the application system tray icons. I recompiled my applications on Windows XP, but it did not work neither.

Hi Eduardo,

Not sure, but your issue may be related to a registry key that is in XP, but not in 2k. Take a look at this thread.

We have the same problem. On Win 2k everything is Ok, but on Win XP this Assert dialog shows up 4x a day. This is very annoying, especially on our production test systems. Is there a solution available for CVI7.0 / 7.1 ?
