Hi Wolfgang,
I was browsing through the CVI Forum and founded your posts. I wanted to know if you got in touch with an NI Worker for the activation of CVI 2012 or not so far?

Hi Naity,
Thanks a lot for looking into it!
Yes, I am in contact with NI including the local NI branch per private email, but so far without success . The previous solution (successful for activating CVI 2010), generating the computer ID out of the volume ID of the system drive, suggested by TobiasK a year ago, does not seem to work anymore - at least not until now (and TobiasK has left NI)... but I am still hoping that this approach can succeed. Deactivating network adapters or VPN does not seem to be very attractive to me at first sight.

Alright,
I am surprised that the solution of Tobias does not work animore. Could you PM me the name of the local worker taking care of the issue? The walkthrough to get this done is a bit hidden in our internal database and I have it saved somewhere. I could maybe give him a hand.
Regards

This could well be my fault
I'll PM you, thanks...

Hey Wolfgang,
Did you get everything figured out?

Hey JonathanN,
Thanks for asking - I should have updated this thread...
Yes, with the patient help of your colleagues I finally managed to find and modify the correct registry key; since then everything works as expected even with the two networks adapters enabled...
