how can I determine the width of a menu bar

Solved!
Go to solution

Several years ago I had suggested a CVI function to determine the width of a menu bar (in pixels), so that the minimum width of a panel could be calculated more easily - now for the new year I'd like to repeat this wish as it seems that such a possibility is still missing...

Best wishes for 2009,

Wolfgang

Hi Wolfgang,

That is a good suggestion. I'm sorry that we haven't acted on it up until now. We'll be adding an attribute that will perform that task in the next CVI release.

Thanks,

Luis

For the sake of completeness, the panel attribute ATTR_MENU_WIDTH returns the number of required pixels and was introduced in LabWindows/CVI 2009.
