no sdk installing option for CVI 2009

When trying to build a dll from a project ,that was created (and working fine) with CVI 8.0 using winSDK Functions (winInet.lib)

with CVI 2009

i get errors "Redeclaration of FILETIME". The winInet header and the winInet.lib in the project are still the same as found in SDK for CVI 8.0. I found no Option to install  some SDK from the DVD that installs CVI2009 ?

Are there Versions of cvi2009 that contain win SDK  and some that do not ?

Might be a silly question , but I found no hints concerning this topic .

Did you install CVI from a Developer Suite DVD?

If yes, you have to choose the "Custom Install" option instead of "Install", for the LabWindows/CVI item in the product tree of the suite installation.

(Just click on the small icon on the left and a small menu appears for this)

Otherwise, installation completes with defualt options which exclude SDK.

That's the case for 9.0, probably same applies to 2009.

Well, then it may be a package type problem.

Which type of CVI licence do you have? base/full/professional?

There used to be a separation of this kind. Base version may not have the SDK option.

I do not have 2009 so I cannot verify this by myself.

Solved :  Installing - Option "Win SDK" is  now  "Install Win32 API" , which was excluded from my installation

The specific item you need to check after doing a customized installation is called "Interface to Win32 API".  This will install the full SDK.  I had just gone through this myself, and found it very confusing.

Interestingly, when I dig out my older installation discs, I do get that option:

I noticed that when you install CVI 2009 for the first time, the option "Interface to Win32 API" is missing.

But after you installed CVI, if you use the same disks to repair or modify the installation, you can see this option.

I installed the Win32 API interface in this way.
