Hello,
I have been using Lookout 4.5.1 for some time now and the only disadvantage so far is the dynamic files library. Since Lookout 4.5 supports ActiveX platform, I thought it would be possible to import a graphic file created in, let say, Microsoft Visual Basic. There is a nice dynamic graphic library available (from Software Toolbox) with ActiveX base. I can import the dynamic file into Microsoft VB and it looks great! Dynamic movements are like I would like to get on inside my Lookout project.
But now one one of forums for Lookout 4.5 I read that it is not as straight-forward to import ActiveX. It would have to be "wrapped" within special application so that Lookout would accept it. And, yet on another forum there is an explanation how to create an ActiveX object within Lookout through selecting a tab for ActiveX. But I don't seem to have this in my program. The only acceptable type of object is (by default) this group of different objects in library. But no ActiveX in it, at least I don't see it. I have to admit that I am not a programmer, only SCADA user. So writing special programs for this would probably be out of my range.
Could someone please explain this once for me if there is a way to import dynamic graphic ActiveX or not? And if there is one, please send me link to check it. I don't want to spend days trying to figure out walkaround if it would not help.
Thank you so much for all inputs.
