Pot Remote to Hypertrend StartTime

Lookout 6.1 problem:

If Pot is remoted to hypertrend1.StartTime for instance:
When Pot Min/Max are set using "mm/dd/yy hh:mm:ss" format and pot is adjusted, Hypertrend StartTime is set 8 hours ahead of pot value.  Fixing this would atleast allow proper setting of StartTime using a remoted pot.

This relates to my request for better control of hypertrend displays and exposure of the button bar values as read/write parameters because you can't properly directly set the start time or read it back to a table, etc.

This also relates to the request for the Pot object to have dynamic min/max/increment and numeric format adjustment capabilities.

Even if an expression is formed or table cell is set using date/time format and connected to the Hypertrend.StartTime, the actual Hypertrend StartTime does not consistently match the expression or table values.  You can adjust the connection with + or - hours to get what you need, but then at another time the setting will be off again???

More Information:

The Hypertrend.trendwith in the previous post was set at 12 hours.

The disparity between the remoted Pot setting and Hypertrend.StartTime (well....as displayed on the Button Bar and actually displayed on the Hypertrend anyway....) is variable by what is set for trendwidth!!  For example, if trend width is set at 48 hours, a Pot set of "03/24/08 10:00:00" results in a trend start time of "03/26/08 06:00:00".  With trend width set at 24 hours, the same Pot set results in a trend start time of "03/25/08 06:00:00".   As explained in the first post, with trend width set at 12 hous, the same Pot set above, results in a start time of "03/24/08 18:00:00".

This is a definite bug....???? Smiley Sad

Fix ASAP please. Smiley Very Happy

Ed

So...

The Hypertrend.StartTime is the left edge of the trend!!  So this makes sense now.  So this thread is solved.

I would still like to see the Hypertrend "StopTime" and "Button Bar" control objects/parameters and data members exposed for touch screen finger-friendly resizing and for read and write ability.

Sorry for the false alarm, however, this super object could still use some improvements as identified here and in the "New Version Suggestions" thread.

Cheers
