Acquire two images from one snap: gige camera teledyne

Solved!

Hi,

I'm try to show and save two images from one camera that snaps two different pictures with one trigger, I'm using LV 17. The camera is set to a multi-frame mode so when i trigger the camera it snap a first picture with one setting and then cycle to a second state with different parameters so snap the second picture. How can i configure this in LV ? Is there a VI that can handle this? Or is there a way to save to different configuration using MAX ?

Hi,

You could take a look a the example called : Grab 1xxx (Smart Camera). you can find it in HELP>FIND EXAMPLES.

the easiest way is to put the two configuration of the snap in 2 frames of a flat sequence

You can use an IMAQdx property node to configure the camera settings dynamically. So you could have a snap VI with one set of settings followed by another snap VI with a different set of settings.

for this propose you have to use imaqdx property node as Simon indicate before but do not forget you could not change camera all configuration while you are snapping or garbing image and any time you have to close camera session before exert new configuration

Hi,

this application takes 2 snaps with two different configurations in 0.1 second every 0.5 sec ; this is why I created in the camera 2 states that cycle every time. So every time I just need to trigger once this camera to snap a picture in the first state and a second one in the second state. I can see the two images one after the other switching every time triggering once the camera from the factory program, so the cycle work.  I cannot save these two images in two different IMAQ for two post-processing.

Like this, with this camera cycle, I just use one session of the camera to snap two pictures of the same object in the same position with two different configurations. To my advice like this is a better way instead of using two IMAQ session for the two configuration in LV: doing so I demand this functionality to the camera FPGA for a lighter LV program. The camera snaps the two pictures with the two configurations, I just need to save two images to be processed and it not supposed to be hard

Hi,

at the end I have to use the property node to change one property every snap. I haven't found no way to manage the two picture in LV acquiring from the camera that snaps sequentially with two different configurations.

Thank you for your help
