Camera output mode problem - some gray level values are never assigned?

When acquiring at 12-bit mode, some gray level values are never assigned? An example is shown below. Card and camera were set to run in 12-bit mode. Test image looks normal. I suspected the IMAQ write to tiff vi is the problem but I am not sure.

Are you reading this in Matlab then you need to invert the Tiff endian type. This is a comon problem between Matlab and LabVIEW. What do you get when you try a histogram in LabVIEW?

Hi, could you elaborate more? The image was subtracted of 2^15.
