I have a LabView executable and Vision 2012 (Run-time) system, to which I am connecting a new USB3 camera.
The camera appears in Device Manager under 'other devices' with a warning symbol. When I try to update the driver I cannot find any drivers in the 'NI IMAQ interfaces' drivers list (see attached screen shot).
I have tried re-installing Vision 2012, including IMAQdx (4.?) but it didn't help. I don't want to install a later version because I will lose the vision run-time license.
OS: Win XP SP3
Camera: Basler puA2500-14uc
USB-PCIe card/Host Controller: Renesas
Thanks,
James/.

USB3 Vision support wasn't added until the 2013 version of Vision Acqusition. You'll need to use a newer version. Note that Vision Acqusition and Vision Development Module are two different pieces of software. In general, you want to use the latest version of both. However, if you don't have a newer version of LabVIEW, you may find that newer versions of the software aren't comaptible with versions of LabVIEW back to 2012. You typically can use your older license with a newer version, you just won't have access to any newer features (this is how Vision Development Module generally works).
