Hi Aero-DAS,
What standard or specification is this card using to communicate to IMAQdx? Have you tried using the VIs that come with the card in the SDK? Do you have any problems with these?

The card is a Camera Link ExpressCard/34 Video Capture Card. I only have the one Camera Link Camera but it also has analog video output. We use the analog video output on a daily basis, but would like to use the Camera Link output. I need to use a laptop so my options are limited. The rep for the camera used the exact same ExpressCard when he did the demo of the camera. The software that came with the camera was made with LabVIEW. When the program starts it asks for the IMAQ interface and the camera ICD. I have the camera ICD, but cannot select the interface since MAX thinks that there is a problem with the interface (ExpressCard). The LabVIEW samples that came with the card only show a black screen, but no errors.

Hi Aero-DAS,
Do the examples that come with the camera interface through IMAQdx or do they use DLL calls?

The software that came with the camera is a standalone (locked) program that I assume uses IMAQ since it is requesting a IMAQ interface and the software requirements are NI IMAQ version 4.1 or higher.
The LabVIEW examples that came with the Camera Link Adapter use the VCECLB.dll.

Hi Aero-DAS,
Have you been in contact with IMPREX? If the software requires the IMAQ drivers and an IMAQ interface, then there is something wrong with the way it is being presented to MAX. Currently in your system it is appearing as an IMAQdx device. Do you have Vision Acquisition Software activated on this computer? IMPREX may be able to provide a better answer as to how the device should be appearing.
When you try to run one of the example programs, are you required to input an interface name?
