The Comming Juggernaut: 4K video capture

We've been using the new USB3 video standard for getting HD video into our labview apps for a while now, but looking forward, how does NI recommend we capture 4K and above video?  USB3 won't cut it since the bit rate is too low to sustain 4K video.  Displayport and HDMI are viable alternatives, but there is no "out of the box"  solution that is compatible with NI VAS.  Just curious as to what the path forward will be since this video standard is inevitable.

Hi MGould,

NI does not currently have any 4K video capture cards available.  I cannot comment on existing or future product development plans/processes.

I believe NI's Alliance Partner Alfamation has some solutions currently available for 4K video capture.

I appricate the info.  It appears that Alfamation provides standard testing (IE does your video meet the HDMI spec?) but its really not image capture at full frame rate.  Also it's limited to PXI chassis, which is a major downside.
