adding empty space to a video/ picture

I'm grabbing data from a high resolution gige camera. My client wants data attached overlayed on their video/ pictures but doesn't want it to interfere with the overall image. I can overlay data no problem but I can't figure out a way to add empty space below the video/ image to place my overlay. Any ideas?

I would like to suggest:

1. Allocate image larger then the real image (for example 20 more raws) at bottom.

2. Fill up the image with your desire background color (IMAQ fill)

3. Copy camera image to the top area of the larger image.

4. Dispaly the larger image

3. Overlay the text on the bottom 20 raws of the larger image that is dispalyed
