invalid license issue

Hi... my company is using a vision system from a machine maker to inspect product appearance. It appears that the pci interface card is from NI. Can somebody confirm that the software for this inspection system activation license depends on the installed industrial pc harddisk & motherboard? Means that everytime we change the harddisk or motherboard, we need to purchase a new license?

-Yes most of the software products are licensed to single PC to avoid illegal usage.
-To avoid multiple PCs usage some of the techniques follows by licensing according to some hardware parameters(like MAC, Network card etc..)
-Yes you might need to purchase new license or request the vision system machine maker to install and give license to new machine and remove from old one or buy license for new one.

You can repeat the original registration process using the original license number(s).  I think NI expects this to happen occasionally, so they allow you to repeat the registration process after changing some hardware.  If you duplicate the system, you will need to use a new license number to register it.
