omron PLC CX programmer communication

I have an Omron PLC that controlls a piece of automation.  I have connected to the PLC via USB cable and use CX programmer to interface with the PLC.  I need to access info from a memory card, which I can do via CX programmer, but I want to be able to do this via Labview.  Any thoughts?

Hello,

I'm not familiar with CX Programmer but I would say that this all depends on how much is known about your instrument. Does your instrument have a driver so that it is recognized by the computer you're programming on? Otherwise, is it just detected as a generic USB device? If it has a driver from the manufacturer, you may be able to call into one of their dlls from LabVIEW. If not, then you would need to know the proper commands to send and could use the NI-VISA driver.
