Dear A. Zaatari,

I don´t understand why the details of my post didn´t show up. Sorry.

In fact, I need to connect the PCI with the UMI, but the UMI is inside a case. So, I need to connect the PCI to a panel connector and then this connector to the UMI. I have doubts about this intermediate connection. How to do this? Which connector should I use?

On the other hand, I could use a cable to connect directly to another cable (from the UMI to the panel) attached to the panel.

I really appreciate if you could help me.

Best regards.

Carlos.

Hey Carlos,

I am still not sure what this intermediate connection is? Can you post pictures or part#? Is it something we sell, or was it custom made?

Hey Zaatari,

I am developing my product yet. As I told you before, I need a connection from the PCI to a panel of my product. And them, from the panel to the UMI. How to do this? I´d like to know which connector I should use. NI sell these parts?

Unfortunately, I can´t do a direct link using a single cable from the PCI to UMI.

Regards.

Carlos-

Why can't you go direct?  Is it because of length, or just getting throught the cabinet?  If it is length, I believe there is a spec for that, and it is pretty short.  If it is getting through the cabinet, then I have used Roxtec sealing devices before.  Depending on which Roxtec you use, you might have to take the shell off the connector to get it through, then put the shell back on.
