Hi everyone,
I'm a beginner of NI system, I was using PLC to building project.
Rececntly, i want to use NI9512 with chassis 9148 to control a step motor for my project. But the many problem comes up.
The hardware connection is ok, the chassis 9148 was connected by 24V power supply and using crossover ethernet cable linked with my
computer.
I can't find NI softmotion in software in remote system software list even i already installed NI softmotion in NI package manager
Sorry for the Chinese character, it's based on my computer default language environment.
I was stucked in the adding axes to the project in NI 951x C series manual which i attached below.
I followed every steps of manual, but i can not find the axes adding bottom in anycase.
This is my project.
This is project example from manual.
As you can see, I have no dependencies and build specification in my project explorer as well.
I'm so confused now, I cant find any useful information online, please help me.
Thank you so much, I do appraciate your comment.
Best regards
Leopold

Walk-Through of the LabVIEW FPGA Control on CompactRIO Sample Project 256 At any time, the OS might delay execution of a user program for many system pieces at a high level helps guide development and communication about the To get started with the NI9148 Ethernet RIO expansion chassis.

Hi Leopold,
I know your pain. NI 9512 is difficult to work with, especially now that it has been discontinued by NI. Not many people know how to support it anymore. However, if you're looking for a motion control solution for LabVIEW, our company has a great solution: GECO Motion.
We have just released our USB GECO Motion solution, and now we are planning our ethernet version. It works very much like NI 9148 ethernet chassis. Best of all, we have released Express VI for motion, making this very easy for new LabVIEW users. If you are interested in this solution, you can PM me for details, we are also looking to lead users to try it out!

Hello Leopold,
You can't find softmoition because NI stopped developing it and version 18 was the last one.
If you want to use Softmotion you have to use it with LabVIEW version 18
Saludos.
