Can I use a NI 9219 to read in a 4-20mA signal? Would I need to have a resistor across the terminals?

Hello!

When in current mode, there is an internal shunt resistor across the terminals that allows for a voltage measurement which is then scaled to current units.

Take a look at page 15 of the user manual.

This module's current range is also +/-25mA, so 4-20mA shouldn't be a problem.
