Analog Out Put USB-6251

I'm using a USB-6251for testing a custom circuit.  In creating my VI in LabView, I conttected a Vertical Pointer slide to a DAQ Assistant to generate an analog voltage.  However I get an error:  Error 200077 occurred at DAQmx Write,  You have requetsed :1, Values begin with : 2.  Can I not conect a slider directly to the DAQ Assistant or do I have to interface it with some thing first?

You can only wire a scalar (i.e. a slide), to the assistant if you configure the analog output for 1 sample. If you set the assistant for N Samples, that implies an array of values.
