Acceleration range?

Frequency range?

Uncertainty?

Max sensor mass?

Temperature range?

Or: What kind of vibration do want to measure?  Train vib in a building, ultrasound cracks in material?

For simple maschine monitoring I would suggest an accelerometer with an USB connector (hooks up as a soundcard) I think PCB made them...

If you want to play around  with your 6001 get a MEMS one with analog output for ~2$
