Capturing Duty Cycle for 100KHz Square wave

Hi,

I have NI PXI 4070 with me for frequency measurement. I want to capture waveform with 100KHz and Duty Cycle of 0.99%. Is this possible with this card? If not Please suggest me appropriate one....

Let's see here.  100kHz has a period of 10us.  Multiply that by 1% (I'm rounding off the 0.99% to make the math easier) and you are left with a pulse width of 0.1us.  In order to see this, you need to sample at least 10MHz.  I recommend looking at the High-Speed DIO that NI offers.  One that can handle 25MHz will probably work for you, depending how accurate you need that duty cycle measurement to be.

An X Series card can take the duty cycle measurement using the 100 MHz timebase (assuming the input is TTL).  It doesn't actually sample the signal at 100 MHz but the effective accuracy would be the same.  If you needed more accuracy than this you could incorporate averaging.
