Configuration of SCXI systems

Good afternoon,

I consider buying an SCXI front end for a PCIe-6321 DAQ. However, because the DAQ is installed in a testing machine, I have no software access to it. Can the modules in the SCXI be configured via hardware or any other mean not requring access to the connected DAQ, or are there alternative front-ends for strain gauges and LVDTs?

the system will be configured in MAX so you need access to the MAX, You also have to change the software, because it could be, that you must change the implementation of the measurements.
