Connection Diagram Missing from DAQ-Assistant generate signal block

Solved!
Go to solution

This is my first post so please excuse the quality of my description.

When I double click on the DAQ- Assistant block, there is no connection diagram tab that I can access to see how things are wired up. I have a NI USB-6211 connected through USB and it is used to control many different sensors and a power supply. It currently works for everything and is hard wired correctly but only one of the DAQ-Assistant blocks has a connection Diagram available the other do not. The one with a connection diagram is used to monitor a voltage. The others that do not are used to generate a signal. I would really like to be able to see the connection diagrams for every block.

-Any help would be much appreciated

-Thankyou

Hello fushionhokie,

Connection diagrams are only available for Analog Input tasks. If you have questions connecting your signals using the Analog Output channels, please feel free to let us know 🙂

How then would I know how to hook up the wires to the DAQ for digital signal generation?

You could always do like the ones that never use the DAQ Assistant and read the manual. Right clicking on the device in MAX and selecting 'Device Pinouts" also works.
