Hi,
I would like to use a sensor pressure to acquire invasively arterial blood pressure from a catheterized patient. I would like to send the analog signal generated by the pressure sensor to a NI DAQ connected to a computer.
The main problem is this is that I need to insulate the patient from the laptop, in order to guarantee safety.
Do you know if there is any NI DAQ which includes any kind of safety insulation?
What do you suggest to do in order to guarantee the safety of the patient?
Thanks
Cheers,
Andrea

I suggest you talk to your NI sales rep. They can get you accurate information on such topics.
I have seen some isolated input devices on the NI web site, but have no idea whether they can meet the safety standards for invasive medical devices.
