Error 88705

I installed the Runtime Engine and the PCI-MIO-16E-4 DAQ. When I open the Measurement & Automation Explorer I can see the card under the Devices and Interfaces (traditional and NI-DAQmx). I'm able to go to the test panel under the traditional NI-DAQ and query the different channels but when I try to do the same under the NI-DAQmx, I receive the message "Error -88705 occurred at self test. Possible reason(s): The specified device is not present or is not active...."

I have already verified that the NI Device Loader Service is running and "Automatic" is selected under its properties.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked in the Recovery tab of the NI Device Loader properties to see if the service is set to restart after any failures?  See this KnowledgeBase for more details.

I had checked the boxes under the recovery tab to get the service re-started upon failure. This did not solve the problem either.

That's unfortunate that changing those setting did not resolve the problem.  What other troubleshooting steps have you tried?  You may want to try uninstalling and reinstalling the card and/or the drivers, installing the latest version of DAQmx, or going into the Windows Device Manager and updating the drivers from there.

I had tried repairing the installation and it didn't work either. I will go ahead and try strating from scratch now.
