High and low limits for AI in DAQmx

it's not.  you didn't mention to do a comparison.  you wanted to return the clipped value of the max/min value, which is not what i wanted.

The comparison is the greater than or equal that I mentioned. Sorry, it was my second response. And, if you do exceed the limits, it will be clipped.

no problem. thanks for your advice.  now i have a new problem - when i create a new global task, i cannot remove it.  i.e. if i name a task as AI 0 and assign it to ai0, i cannot change or remove the task name.  It will always in the drop down list of global MAX channels.

Sorry, I don't use global channels. Are you trying to delete it in MAX? I don't see why you shouldn't be able to delete it.
