How can I obtain measurements from two channels on one device?

I'm trying to read two analog input voltages at once from my USB-6210 device.  I know that these inputs have to be in the same task to avoid the 50103 error.  However, I'm having trouble figuring out how to actually view the values coming from each channel.  I need to be able to use the data from each channel for different things.  How can I split the signal, or use the data from each channel separately so I can route each of the incoming measurements to different places?  Any information would be most helpful.  Thanks.

Are you using DAQmx functions or DAQ assistant?

Look at attached pic for splitting signals in both cases.

Note: DAQmx read is a polymorphic VI.
