How can one acquire high AC voltage and current and higher DC voltages with a DAQ device

Hello

I need to acquire some voltages and currents readings through an NI-6009 DAQ, and I was wondering what method is the simplest and most effective way to do it.

I have AC voltages that is around 220V and several amps of current, also I have more than 12 DC voltage with several amps as well. My initial thought was to get some panel meters that can generate a 0-10V output signal and feed it to the DAQ, but I was wondering if there are other ways to do it..

If you can find meters that do that, go with the solution.  Otherwise, you will have to do your own signal conditioning, usually consisting of voltage dividers, current sense resistors, and op-amps.

Going with panel meters with 0-10V output is the safest. If you're new to designing HV circuits, things can easily go wrong in the voltage dividers and current sense which would be dangerous to humans near it and your USB-DAQ as well.
