Hi, I would like to control my USB card NI 6008 in my Mac. I'm using Labview but I'm a real beginner. I obtain data from my sensor to my USB card and I can use them in Labview in order to control an electric wagon. This project is for my exam : engenering school.
So, on PC (Windows) it's ok, but on my mac, I don't find MAX. And If I have understand, I need MAX to create DAQ Assitant and some others VI in Labview. Nevertheless I have yet install DASmx Base 3.4 for mac os.
Could you help me please ?
I'm sorry for my english, it's so bad. I'm french student and I prefer to post here because I didn't find answers in the french part of NI forums.
See youi soon.
Merci
Thomas L

MAX and the DAQ Assistant are part of DAQmx, not DAQmx Base, and are not currently available on Mac OS X.
In the /Applications/National Instruments/NI-DAQmx Base directory there is a program lsdaq.app that can be used to display all connected NI-DAQmx Base devices.
Here are a couple more links to get you started:

Hi Bstreiff !
I'm late ...
Thx u for u answer. Some people explained me the difference between Labview on Mac and PC. But I have still got a question, (is it english ?!). So, I would like to control my NI Box 6008 and I can't with Labview 2010 and DAQmx base ? Indeed, I don't know what I have to do.
Could you help me to set up my Labview Mac for my box please.
Thank you !
Thomas

The USB-6008 is supported with DAQmx Base, yes. You don't get MAX, but you can still control your USB-6008.
Install LabVIEW 2010 and DAQmx Base 3.4, and this should give you the DAQmx Base VIs in the LabVIEW palettes.
