Measurement & Automation software can't find DAQ

Solved!
Go to solution

I'm using a USB-6009 OEM DAQ as part of a test fixture, and everything is working great.  We recently sent a board to China with the same software we're using, which they installed on a brand new computer.  When they plug in the USB cable, the LED flashes on the DAQ board, and the USB DAQ shows up in the Windows Device Manager.  However, when they open the Measurement & Automation software, the device doesn't isn't there.

I've gotten them to try refreshing, reinstalling, and restarting to no avail.  Any idea what they could be doing differently?!

Hi LindsayK,

What version of DAQmx do they have installed? Try to get them to match their drivers with yours if it works ok on your system here.

We're both using 9.1.1.  Any other ideas?

Have they installed the patch that was released for NI-DAQmx?  It's possible they are using a computer with one of the affected USB HID devices.
