NI-6537: each Individual port can be programmed either for Read/Write Is right?

I have to run the Input stimulus from NI-6537 to asimple CRC design on  FPGA.

If i program Dev1/line0:11 for write  and Dev1/line12:19 for read , I got this error.

Error in DAQ writing format to NI-6537->Measurements: Specified operation cannot be performed while the task is running.

Task Name: DaqmxTask

So for my understanding that you can program the port as for Read /Write not both , Is it so?

Is there a way that I can write to some pin s and read on some pins on particular port?

Yes, you can program the lines of the port to read or write. With NI-DAQmx you can configure each physical line of the 6537 individually. As a first look, I don’t see what could be wrong in your code. I was not able to run the application, so I would like to confirm what type of application is this, MFC, Win32? Molugu, there are some C examples about Synchronization that could be helpful in this case, this knowledge base explains where to find them. I hope this is helpful,
