NI 9162 power requirements

Hi all,

i'm designing a portable instrument, so i want to power cycle the ni 9162 usb carrier with the same pushbutton that power cycle the remaining electronics, the type of button closes electrical contact only when is pressed (i don't know how is called this type) so it does not have "memory".

Can you suggest me some device to control USB connection PC-NI 9162 with that kind of pushbutton in a way that i can detach-attach the carrier to the PC with that?

sorry for bad Topic name, before writing entire post i was thinking to feed usb carrier with an external DCDC, so i'm wondering if there are problems wich is the quality of power supply that carrier needs in terms of noise, ripple...

Hi,

you can find all information about power requirements in this link:

You should not change the type of power supply, as described in the document on page 5.
