NI 9862 in cDAQ 9172 " unsupported module" error

Hi

I just purchased a NI 9862 CAN module to use in my cDAQ 9172 but the module is not recognized in MAX. I use XNET 14.5 (because I have Labview 2011 this is the latest supported version). According to the documentation NI 9862 is supported by XNET14.5

What to do?

The 986x modules are not supported in the cDAQ-9172 (Legacy). See the C Series Module Compatibility Chart.

The cDAQ-9172 was the first generation of CompactDAQ chassis and lacks certain hardware features needed for newer C Series modules. The cDAQ-9178 is its direct replacement. (Or, if you're willing to rearrange things, the 986x modules will also work in the 9171s you have.)
