NI MAX Test Panel not reading any voltage from analog input (strain gauge)

The wires at the bottom are connected to the strain gauge. The conditioning block has always been there. Although the strain gauge was working previously, it has stopped working again and it is reading random values. It worked perfectly a few days ago, and I've changed nothing about the set up. Do you have any idea about what's going on?

It sounds to me like your connection between the two is faulty. Especially since it works sometimes and not others. Have you tried going through and replacing the wire with new wire?

Also, have you checked to make sure that the usb that you are using is a powered USB hub? I know on some laptops, not all the usb hubs are powered, or will stop being powered if the laptop is not plugged into a power source. I'm not sure how this would affect the DAQ card but it might prevent the breakout from reading voltages.
