NI USB 9214 - Troubleshooting help needed -

Hello,

I am fine tuning my testing method and here’s the results that i have been encountering.

@10hz MODE: HIGH SPEED

We can see the spikes at the beginning of the run. I don’t know why this happens yet.

@1hz MODE: HIGH RESOLUTION

does anyone have any idea on why his occur? is it because of some grounding issues with the hardware?

i am not sure on what to do to troubleshoot this issue.

any sugguestion would greatly be aprreciated.

thanks

Hello super_saiyans,

Can you describe how you are wiring this up?  What kind of input configuration do you have?  What type of thermocouples are you using?  Are you able to replicate the issue?  Is there anything happening at that instant - electrically - in the vicinity that could be inducing noise?  It seems that the 1 Hz sampling is not seeing it, whatever it may be.  Are you able to look at other sampling frequencies (and can you share those results)?

i am working with 6 TCs and 1 RF wire.

during normal operation of the 6 TCs. my system works fine.

only during ablation (when the RF wire is active) my TC goes haywire

it makes wierd noises.

I have the same setup using the OMEGA RD9900 chart recorder and it doesnt show that problem.

ill try other sampling frequencies and see .

Thanks for the suggestions

Did you have a chance to try different sampling frequencies?

Is there any way to seclude the RF signal any more from the TC wires (insulation of some sort), just to see if that has any affect on your results?  That is interesting that the same thing doesn't happen to the OMEGA RD9900...I wonder if the RF wire is affecting the DAQ device?
