I'm probably in the wrong forum but didn't know where to start. I'm very new to all of this, but want to learn - this will probably be very easy to most of you. I have a 2 wire electromagent and want to write a program to turn on and off. What hardware do I need?
As to your question, this will depend more on the 2-wire electromagnet that you own. What is the output of this electromagnet (current, voltage, etc) and to what precision do you need to read these?
We have many simple analog input modules available which have varying levels of resolution and input parameters. Based upon your budget, sensor output, and scope of your application, it would help you to look online at NI hardware for simple analog input and make a decision for hardware from there.
