Physical channels not addressable in DAQ Assistent w/ NI PCI-110 // BNC-2110 terminal block hardware config

Hi There,

A colleague had the brilliant idea to reinstall/upgrade a blue screen crashed Win7 LV2013 Environment to Win10 Pro. Ahum...

Managed to get recent Win10 compatible motherboard PCI station PCI drivers for HP Workstation type PC. So far, so good.

Another problem popping up: The DAQ assistent only displays the two Analog Out Channels (AO 0/1) as physically addressable of the BNC-2110 terminal block wired to the PCI-6110 , while the 8 AI and the digital I/O cannot be physically addressed. NI MAX shows however all channels except for 4 out of eight AI channels, which remain also hidden.

Latter 4+4 channel config was the hardware config that was fully operated originally under Win7/LV2013 config.

The hardware/DAQ compatibility chart shows full compatibility under L2023 (running now).

Usual suspects as resetting the DAQ card via NI max.... have been done.

Anybody any idea to get the BNC2110 fully physically addressable in the DAQ assistent .vi?

Thanks.

Images of what you see on DAQ Assistant will be helpful.

I believe it is just a misunderstanding and not a real problem, either the channels show up or they don't, typically not a partial issue.

Hi Santosh

Thanks for your answer.

Dropped some pics of the NIDAQ Assistent and the NIMAX explorer for you to see.

As expected, it is just a misunderstanding on your part.

You have selected a Voltage Out task type and only AO0 and AO1 support analog voltage out. To see other channels, you've select appropriate task type when you configured DAQ Assistant.

Hi Santosh

Actually I was thinking the same. But, I cannot choose a Voltagein (differential voltage) from the the dropdown menu.

Then again, NI Max shows 4 channels ai0,1,2,3 and not the ao0,1.

(Also, I am very rusty with LV, haven't done anything for many years)
