Problem for my compact DAQ to recognize parrallel port

Solved!
Go to solution

Well except the monitor, mouse and keyboard, I have modules connected to the cDAQ.

Here is the harware value of the unknown device:

I'm pretty sure it refers to the cDAQ but I don't understand why are there two entries...

Here is the "General" tab:

It's located on Intel Atom processors which are those of the compact DAQ...

Stange..

Anyway, hope this could help you !

I had these screenshots to add:

Here is the name of my PC (which is in fact my cDAQ NI-9133, cf the manufacturer) with the yellow flag.

When I go to the Hardware tab I can find my unknown device back again:

I unplugged all the modules but nothing special changed in MAX or the device manager...

The unknown device is actually the User1 button on the controller.  It should be associated with a driver that installs with DAQmx.

We can try to properly associate this device and its driver, like we did with the backplane, but I honestly think there's just something in the driver or OS installation that has been corrupted.  Especially if you still don't see the 9133 in MAX as a cDAQ resource and if your modules still do not appear when you insert them into the chassis, my recommendation would be to try repairing or reinstalling DAQmx (again) or even to totally reimage the controller by following the recovery steps provided in the user manual.

Well, reinstalling Windows was the right solution.

Everything is working fine now.

Thank you very much for your support Kyle !
